About Us
Business Enterprise Network helps youth who wants to be entrepreneurs acquire information on how to access capital and take their businesses to the next level. We equip young aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed: a training service that connects them with our Young Entrepreneurs' Network (YEN), a supportive community based on common experiences to provide mentoring, business support, information and key services.
Over the past seven (7) years Business Enterprise Network has been funded by the Human Resources and Skills Development of Canada (HRSDC) to provide greater access to self employment for youth in the GTA. They began funding in 1997, we have worked on the following initiatives: the Black Youth in Business Conference, the Black Youth in Business 1998 Needs Survey and the Access to Self-Employment Training Program.
Who We Are
Business Enterprise Network was founded on the promise that young entrepreneurs want and need services that empowers them to achieve their business goals in the most cost-effective and expeditious way, while maintaining the highest level of confidence in the quality of the services offered.
We are committed to building an environment where dynamic and motivated young entrepreneurs can achieve their objectives and reach their full entrepreneurial potential and contribute to the community through self-employment and job creation.
Through our services and conferences, Business Enterprise Network fosters an environment that assists youth in reaching their potential and enables them to start and sustain successful business ventures.
To facilitate our mandate, we currently provide the Access to Self-Employment Training (ASET) Workshops, YEN, business support through case management and business consulting services, resources, mentoring and a quarterly newsletter.
Business Enterprise Network is about connections...about access...about exposure to people and situations that expand the way we look at things. As the world shrinks and the reality of virtual commerce emerges, it becomes more critical for businesses to have greater understanding about the issues that impact on them. Business Enterprise Network provides youth with vehicles for gaining and implementing competitive advantages that will carry them solidly into the new century.
Networking is power. Youth working together to advance and promote each other will make a difference on the complexion of business. We have discovered that together, anything is possible.
